Welcome!
My name is Ava Cutler and I am a Mathematician by training, Software Developer and data analyst in profession, and Writer and Model on the side. Born and raised in New York City, I currently live in the beautiful Vienna, Austria where I work at the United Nations.
Before joining the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), I worked as a software developer and consultant. In University I spent a semester in Rabat, Morocco, writing articles for Morocco World News, the country’s premier news source in English. (Publications).
Enough about work, intellectually I am fascinated by the ever-changing tech landscape and how it affects humans socially. What problems will Generative AI solve, and what will it create? What role does outer space have in this (literally) uncharted territory? How will human intelligence stack up to the increasingly vast artificial?
Finally for the stuff outside of my head… I play competitive slowpitch softball in Austria (2nd place in the 2023 National Championships!), ski like crazy in winter, and love to paint in a makeshift studio space in my apartment. I’m an avid reader and writer of poetry. Find me meal prepping with friends on a Sunday afternoon or cuddling with my young cat.
This website is a personal project I began as a student in 2023 designed to flex my programming muscles. It's an ever-evolving place for me to experiment with (surprise!) new tech. Bear with me on this adventure.
If you’re interested in discussing any of my interests, do not hesitate to reach out by email or via Linkedln!
